So it’s the night before my big trip and a part of me still cannot believe I am here! I am finally on my way home (Cue the lyrics from The Head and the Heart’s “Down In the Valley”). It’s been twenty years coming and the time has finally returning to Nigeria. While my older brothers and sister were born and raised there for a few years, after the birth of my twin brother and I we moved to Sydney, Australia. Six years following our move to Australia we then packed our bags to leave to America. Needless to say, I’ve been quite busy since my initial departure.
I am beyond excited, apprehensive, curious, and joyous.
